MODUS OPERANDI
We Two, from the beginning, has been about "living the dream." Our lives are projects. This means that our daily task of turning the raw material of the world's information into something we can navigate is shaped by the nature of the projects we are engaged in, both separately and together.
When your life is a long-term project, even inconsequential aspects of the world wheedle their way into it -- sound samples, bits of information, aesthetic choices, political stances, idiosyncratic gestures. The constant stream of objects, people, and ideas we interact with, the way things look and are; each person translates these things differently into their own work, and it soon becomes difficult to separate the person from the project. The same is true for us.
Jona does YACHT, constantly evolving music and performance, and Claire does Universe, an ongoing inter-textual science project. We Two is what happens when two projects fall in love. We often interact with the same information, negotiate the world together; what we do on a daily basis is taken up differently by YACHT and Universe, but the commonalities form the points where the two projects (and lives) can fuse together.
